Weight Watcher Vegetable Soup


Wow!  Can I cook or what?  Normally, no…..but it was soooo cold yesterday, we wanted some soup.  I was going to make the weight watchers egg drop soup I had made before, but I was really wanting to save points so came up with this……all on my own…..just call me Chef Sharsum!

WW Plus Points – 1 cup = 0 

Eat the whole pot = 1 (you can’t beat that!)  Up to 6 cups of chicken broth is 1 point.

1 carton low sodium chicken broth (it doesn’t even have to be the fat-free one)

1 can mixed vegetables (do not drain)

shake some onion powder in it – just a little

about 1/8 tsp. of garlic paste (I love that squeeze stuff – you get it in the produce dept. at Walmart)

about 1/4 tsp. of basil  paste (the squeeze stuff)

a liberal shaking of Mrs. Dash (original) – more if  you like

a few parsley flakes will make it look like you know what you are doing

black pepper to taste

Optional – add more freebie veggies

Heat and eat……just takes a few minutes.  It has just a little bit of spicy (as Lucy says) and ohhhh….so good!

I might just have to keep this on hand all the time these cold days.  Right now 3 degrees with windchills of up to -20.  Such unusual weather we are having this winter in Missouri.  It can stop anytime.
