Need a great way to store plastic bags?

Do you like to save the plastic bags from Walmart, Target, etc. but find they are stuffed in every nook and cranny in your kitchen?  Sure, there are the plastic bag holders you can buy for storing them, or in my case, crochet (see the plastic bag holder idea under “Crocheting”) but still, those plastic bags are like school lunch salads and oak leaves in the fall…they just keep growing and growing and growing.  Well, this little tidbit really works! I just tried it.  You just roll the bags up into little balls. It just takes a little practice and you’ll have a small rolled up bag in seconds. I can still use my handy dandy crocheted bag to store them, too.  The site suggests storing them in a jar with a lid…..but I think that’s just too much work.  Why, you’d have to open that jar every time you needed one.  Phhht!  That wouldn’t work in my house.  Maybe you can think of another way to store yours.  Are you ready?  Here’s the link:

Go ahead….try it….you know you want to.

P.S.  Due to the nature of the Internet, this site may vanish into thin air at some point or the link will not work.

Link not working?  Leave a comment below, and I will check it out.  Thanks.

  1. My cousin, Diane, shared this idea for storage: I use a empty kleenex box. Just roll up the bags and put them into the opening of where you pull the tissues out of. You can compress several into the box. The box stores neatly in your cabinet.
